2024 and Still Kicking!

Four years have passed since my last post on here and several minutes were spent trying to recall the URL of this blog! It's remarkable that this is this here despite the endless march of time. I'm still working hard over on Somethingsawry.com and have even delved into the world of social media influencing @kristheorin! Not quite my preferred artistic medium for sure, but it gets the job done. If you want a healthy dose of videos like my older Lego animations, be sure to check back in to my Youtube channel. Wow, still here!

Just going down memory lane here and decided to see if this blog still existed. To my surprise, there it was! Can't say I quite remember why I ever made this blog nine years ago, but it's nice to know it still exists all these years later. Almost like a weird time capsule for the five posts I made on here.

Whats Next?

Right now I'm currently working on a new Batman film. Here's an example picture:

Almost There

All the animation for Squad 1066 has been completed and for the past few weeks I've been trying to add all the effects. Now, because there is almost four minutes of lightsaber fighting in this movie the effects are taking a long time. However, I'm about half way there with finishing the effects. So the movie will hopefully come out this month.

Brief Delay

There has been some delay in animations for the past two weeks. The cord that connects my camera to the laptop broke so I can't animate. Now I bought a new one and animation should start up again. Hopefully I can get the next part of Squad 1066 out soon.

Production Begins

After about 6 months, production on part four of Squad 1066 has begun! There were many setbacks that made what would have been about only a month or two of waiting, into half a year. After Squad 1066 Part three was finished, the script was erased accidentally. School then started which limited the time I would have to animate. I also wanted to improve my animation a bit before starting on the next part. All these things have been done or fixed so now I shall begin production on part four!

New Logo

Yesterday I decided to remake my old logo. The old one was a low quality and I found some things that could have been improved. I changed the font, quality, and added a couple things in the shot. Overall, I thing it turned out well.

New Sounds

I've recently found a way to get sounds from Republic Commando. This allowed me to get many new sounds like footsteps, armor moving, and blasters firing. I've also begun organizing my sounds as well. So far I've made several main categories and many sub-categories to organize them. This will add a lot more sounds to my movies!

Strangers Part 2 Is Done

After about a month of working on stories and sets, part 2 is done! In this new part much more of the story is shown. It also includes some cool car effects done in Effects Lab Pro.

Animation Has Been Completed

All of the animation for Strangers Part 2 has been completed! This means that the film should be out soon! The editing and voice overs should only take about a day to do. So the film will probably be out tomorrow!

Animating Continues

Right now I am currently animating a driving scene for Strangers. In every frame a tree needs to be moved to give the effects that the cars driving. This obviously will take some time, but the film should be out in the next few days...hopefully.

The Animating Begins

Technically, I started animating yesterday, but I'm hoping to get more shots done today. More updates on this soon.

Strangers Part 2 Story Completion

That's right! The story for part 2 is done! Strangers part 2 has been on hold for about two weeks now and all I filmed so far is about forty seconds of intro which you see in the trailer. Now it can resume production! The animation will start on Saturday or Sunday and the film should be completed on time, hopefully.

Strangers Part 2 Is In Production

Here's a quick screen shot showing the progress on Strangers Part 2. Not all of the filming is done yet and so far I only have a minute. So if all goes well it should be out around the middle of March.

Halo Set

A few days ago I finished another set for my upcoming Halo movie. This will obviously be worked on a lot after Part 2 of Strangers. The scene in the picture is actually not from the film. More updates on this soon.
